compassionate attention
The process involved in Compassionate Attention assists you to let go of old patterns, beliefs, fears, or the memories of unpleasant experiences in your life.
The process is one where I facilitate and companion you through and out the other side from those blocks and fears which are stopping you from living to your fullest potential. This lets you then experience your life with less drama and pain.
The life-events in question for you might be ones you remember, or ones you don't, but, either way, after the process you will feel something has changed. If remembered, the memories lose their emotional buttons and become simply part of your story. You then become one of those who surprise others by being able to talk about a difficult event without any problem. This is because you no longer carry any judgement or feel emotional about it. If you don't remember anything in particular, but have recurring emotional disruptions in your life, the process still transforms the emotional buttons deep within, meaning you don't have to avoid situations any more, or worry as to how you might react if you 'lose control' - it just seems there is no longer a button within you that can be pressed. On top of that, very often the troublesome stimuli (which hitherto seemed to be everywhere) just aren't so prevalent, and people who used to say things which hurt don't seem to say them any more.
During a process, you are seated, fully clothed, and I sit in front of you. I ask you to close your eyes and assist you to become aware of your body; your body holds within its cells the memories of all the experiences you have ever had, and whilst we are happy to remember the good times, we have expended great energy in the suppression of those events we call negative. So those memories and emotions have become trapped inside, 'jumping out at us' when we least want or expect them to.
I hold you in an extremely safe space while this happens so you feel able to allow the shifts to happen. The space might be called one of a 'very high energy', and when the old 'low energy' memories come up in the safe space, they are transformed - just as taking a light into a darkened room has to light the room, transforming the dark into light.
You may remember the memories, having set the intention for them to change, or you might (more likely) not remember a thing other than a flash of recognition - an 'Ah ha!' moment. There is no need for you to either re-live difficult times, or tell me what they are/were. I use a very light and gentle touch - with your permission - to help you to stay in your body so the old negative cellular memory can change into a positive one.
Although it sounds a bit like magic (and the results certainly feel delightfully so), the principles of the process are also very grounded in neuroscience; the research into Epigenetics is beginning to explain why this works.
After the process you are able to share, or not - whichever you prefer. We are only aware of about 10% of what happens in a process, and it will also 'run on', gently integrating, for a day or two afterwards. Then you are very likely to notice yourself in a situation which previously you felt as painful or difficult, but not have the unpleasant feelings any more, just a sense of 'ok-ness', confidence, lightness, and clarity.
The work can be carried out in a small group, or in a one-to-one appointment. The latter is for one hour and costs £75.
